How to Maintain Your Spirit in Seasons of Transition
Genesis 2:21-25
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. 22 Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
23 And Adam said:
“This is now bone of my bones
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man.”
24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
1) God Might Cause You to Fall into a Deep Sleep
I’ve seen in my life when I enter into a season of transition, gifting’s seemed as if they go inactive. Which led me into extreme times of frustration and then I started asking questions like, “Where Are You God”? Lots of times, I wasn’t mature enough to realize that God was nearer then than ever before. I’m sure many of you have been in the same position. Lesson learned, in seasons of great transition, learn to “lie down” and rest. In this season, you will begin to receive what I like to call, “downloads”. God will always guide and protect the ones that submit to his will. Stay consistent in your time of “moving”. As you begin to receive “downloads” direction and clarity will come. Everything you do in this season will determine your next season.
2) God Might Ask you to leave the Familiar to Get Closer to Him
In verse 24, we see where the bible says, that a man shall leave his father and mother. First of all, we all love our parents, but I’d like to suggest that in this passage that the author stated this, so that the reader could understand, that familiarity could hurt the relationship between the “couple”. Could it be that during a season of “moving”, or transition, that God would want you to leave familiarity behind? Possibly remove yourself from certain people, places or things? Now, I’m not saying, leave your church or Abandon your friends. But what I am saying is build you an altar and seek His face. I promise He will show up on your behalf! Try it, you have nothing to lose!
3) Be Not Ashamed of Your Transition
Verse 25 says, “And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed”. Don’t be ashamed of your season of transition. It isn’t something to be upset about. It isn’t something to be scared about. In this season, God is elevating you and positioning you for a greater season. The key though is to stay consistent and faithful to his calling upon your life. Don’t give up! Stand tall and be proud of who God has called you to be!
Is God trying to promote you but your afraid of failing? Maybe you’re tied down to people, places or things and you’re afraid of being alone. Could fear be holding you back from your elevation?
I want to leave you today with the following scripture:
Psalm 24:7
7 Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
Today, lift up your head! You will see the King of Glory come into Your Situation!!

Life Lesson #2 : Dealing with Disappointment

We have all dealt with disappointment. I remember going through a rough time about 7 years ago. I dealt a blow that I had a hard time dealing with. I was working the field that I loved! Everything was going wonderful. All of a sudden from nowhere, ATTACK after ATTACK! I was young, didn't know how to handle it, so I QUIT the ministry and said I'd NEVER return! I guess you could say, the Enemy WON....But not for long! I went through a time of "rebellion" (that's the only word to describe it). I was Jonah and I was running from the Ultimate call upon my life! I enjoyed the attention I received from the "world". I felt "accepted". One Sunday afternoon, I remember waking up, saying to God, I can't run anymore you got me SURROUNDED! It was then I realized, the race I'm running I will not win, God will! So I gave up and gave control to HIM, Daddy God.
The enemy wants us to be controlled by emotions. He wants us to RUN AWAY, FAR FAR AWAY, from God and His Kingdom! The Good news is...No matter how far you RUN, God will NEVER EVER forsake you! Disappointment in Church, Ministry, and Life can be toxic. But don't let it! God's ULTIMATE plan..is YOU and His WILL being established in YOUR LIFE!
Be set free from the emotional turmoil that the devil wants you to go through! The devil has no control of your FUTURE OR YOUR NOW! Today, rebuke him. Put him and his ways BEHIND YOU!
I love you and most importantly, Jesus Love YOU!

Life Lesson Learned #1

As Christians, we should demonstrate an attitude that is pleasing to God. Sadly, though, so many times we get 'caught up in the moment' and leave our Christian attitude at the door and end up 'taking care of business' the wrong way. If you are saved, then, you have a FLOW of God's Spirit in your life. You have God's DNA! So with that said, God has given you an Unlimited Supply of His Presence. You can tap into the FLOW of the Spirit, ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE! Now, I realize living in today's society it sometimes can be difficult to always Be super happy! People will make you mad. Thing's won't happen the way you want them to happen. Well, LIFE HAPPENS huh?!?
During life's ups and downs, we presence people, have to make it a priority to allow the presence and power of God to consume us in every life situation. Honor God in everything we do and give no credit to the enemy!

A Forerunner's Anointing
Each generation has had a Moses, a Martin Luther, or a John Wesley. This generation will have thousands of revivalists! In this hour, God is raising up an Army who will declare the deeds of the Lord!
Habakkuk 3:2
O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
-Lord, I thank you for what you did back in the days of Azusa. I thank you for what you did back during the outpourings of the 90’s… God we want MORE in our day!
You see, God is raising up ‘forerunners’. A forerunner is one that precedes and indicates (or announces…prophesies) the approach of another.
• A FORERUNNER IS ALWAYS SENT AHEAD.
• Anytime God wants to come in a significant way he will raise up a prophetic voice to declare his coming!
Ezekiel was a forerunner who became a Revivalist. If we look back at Ezekiel 37 we will see the Process that Ezekiel went through to become a revivalist…
Characteristics of a Revivalist
Let’s back at our text, Ezekiel 37, verse 1: 1 The Lord took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the Lord to a valley filled with bones.
1. As a Forerunner (someone who God is going to use to bring Revival) you must allow the Lord to take hold of your life. You Must Encounter the Presence of God!
• Whenever God wants to release something into the earth he will look for and find men and women whose hearts will be totally submitted and surrendered to him.
• God is looking for vessels that he can use to bring the Glory of Heaven to this earthly realm.
• God wants to pour the atmosphere of heaven into your life, so you become a container of the Glory of God and then it’s release out of you into the earth.
• God wants to use YOU to reach this world!
2. As a Forerunner you must understand the NEED for Revival.
Verse 2 He led me all around among the bones that covered the valley floor. They were scattered everywhere across the ground and were completely dried out!
• Ezekiel saw the NEED for revival.
• In order to RECEIVE revival you have to understand the NEED for revival.
Now catch this…. Here is where the SHIFT happens….
Verse 3 Then he asked me, “Son of man, can these bones become living people again?”
“O Sovereign Lord,” I replied, “you alone know the answer to that.”
3. As a Forerunner you must look beyond what you can see!
In other words…
• Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE for God & everything is subject to change!
4. As a Forerunner you must PRAY & PROPHESY!
On Thursday, May 27, 2010 I was driving down Highway 347 in Nederland, TX and I had an “open-vision” the lasted a few seconds. While driving I saw the street in front of me split into two separate directions. A few days later I was driving down Nederland Avenue, also in Nederland and I saw where the street had buckled and split.
On Sunday afternoon, June 6, 2010 as I was getting ready to go and minister in Beaumont, TX, I heard the Spirit of the Lord say; “A rude awakening” is coming.
Now I am not a doom and gloom preacher and I believe in God’s mercy and His grace. Both experiences that I had have been confirmed by other prophetic ministries who have had similar experiences.
On May 21, 2010 while in worship, The Lord revealed to me four prophetic words concerning the Southeast Texas region and America.
• Groaning’s in the Earth
As a nation we have seen terrible earthquakes, hurricanes, and other disasters of this sort. I feel like we will continue to see “strange” weather patterns in the earth.
• The Body of Christ will see a soon realignment.
Churches and ministries who are not preaching the word will encounter ‘realignments’ that will shake them to their core.
• In our governments, nationally and locally God will bring correction, discipline, and a new direction.
• Decisions will have to be made. What side / whose side are you on?
• Is the atmosphere you live in conducive to the flow of God?
• If God breaks out in your sphere of influence, how will you respond?
I share this with you today, because I am asking that you help me pray!! I believe RIGHT NOW we must PRAY and SPEAK HIS WORD BOLDLY! Today, I speak COURAGE and ENDURANCE over your life! Walk in his LOVE today!
