How to Maintain Your Spirit in Seasons of Transition
Genesis 2:21-25
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. 22 Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
23 And Adam said:
“This is now bone of my bones
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man.”
24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
1) God Might Cause You to Fall into a Deep Sleep
I’ve seen in my life when I enter into a season of transition, gifting’s seemed as if they go inactive. Which led me into extreme times of frustration and then I started asking questions like, “Where Are You God”? Lots of times, I wasn’t mature enough to realize that God was nearer then than ever before. I’m sure many of you have been in the same position. Lesson learned, in seasons of great transition, learn to “lie down” and rest. In this season, you will begin to receive what I like to call, “downloads”. God will always guide and protect the ones that submit to his will. Stay consistent in your time of “moving”. As you begin to receive “downloads” direction and clarity will come. Everything you do in this season will determine your next season.
2) God Might Ask you to leave the Familiar to Get Closer to Him
In verse 24, we see where the bible says, that a man shall leave his father and mother. First of all, we all love our parents, but I’d like to suggest that in this passage that the author stated this, so that the reader could understand, that familiarity could hurt the relationship between the “couple”. Could it be that during a season of “moving”, or transition, that God would want you to leave familiarity behind? Possibly remove yourself from certain people, places or things? Now, I’m not saying, leave your church or Abandon your friends. But what I am saying is build you an altar and seek His face. I promise He will show up on your behalf! Try it, you have nothing to lose!
3) Be Not Ashamed of Your Transition
Verse 25 says, “And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed”. Don’t be ashamed of your season of transition. It isn’t something to be upset about. It isn’t something to be scared about. In this season, God is elevating you and positioning you for a greater season. The key though is to stay consistent and faithful to his calling upon your life. Don’t give up! Stand tall and be proud of who God has called you to be!
Is God trying to promote you but your afraid of failing? Maybe you’re tied down to people, places or things and you’re afraid of being alone. Could fear be holding you back from your elevation?
I want to leave you today with the following scripture:
Psalm 24:7
7 Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
Today, lift up your head! You will see the King of Glory come into Your Situation!!

Life Lesson #2 : Dealing with Disappointment

We have all dealt with disappointment. I remember going through a rough time about 7 years ago. I dealt a blow that I had a hard time dealing with. I was working the field that I loved! Everything was going wonderful. All of a sudden from nowhere, ATTACK after ATTACK! I was young, didn't know how to handle it, so I QUIT the ministry and said I'd NEVER return! I guess you could say, the Enemy WON....But not for long! I went through a time of "rebellion" (that's the only word to describe it). I was Jonah and I was running from the Ultimate call upon my life! I enjoyed the attention I received from the "world". I felt "accepted". One Sunday afternoon, I remember waking up, saying to God, I can't run anymore you got me SURROUNDED! It was then I realized, the race I'm running I will not win, God will! So I gave up and gave control to HIM, Daddy God.
The enemy wants us to be controlled by emotions. He wants us to RUN AWAY, FAR FAR AWAY, from God and His Kingdom! The Good news is...No matter how far you RUN, God will NEVER EVER forsake you! Disappointment in Church, Ministry, and Life can be toxic. But don't let it! God's ULTIMATE plan..is YOU and His WILL being established in YOUR LIFE!
Be set free from the emotional turmoil that the devil wants you to go through! The devil has no control of your FUTURE OR YOUR NOW! Today, rebuke him. Put him and his ways BEHIND YOU!
I love you and most importantly, Jesus Love YOU!

Life Lesson Learned #1

As Christians, we should demonstrate an attitude that is pleasing to God. Sadly, though, so many times we get 'caught up in the moment' and leave our Christian attitude at the door and end up 'taking care of business' the wrong way. If you are saved, then, you have a FLOW of God's Spirit in your life. You have God's DNA! So with that said, God has given you an Unlimited Supply of His Presence. You can tap into the FLOW of the Spirit, ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE! Now, I realize living in today's society it sometimes can be difficult to always Be super happy! People will make you mad. Thing's won't happen the way you want them to happen. Well, LIFE HAPPENS huh?!?
During life's ups and downs, we presence people, have to make it a priority to allow the presence and power of God to consume us in every life situation. Honor God in everything we do and give no credit to the enemy!
